What the converter does with your input

Every number you type into the number to words converter is processed by JavaScript running locally in your browser. Nothing you type, no number, no chosen currency, no letter-case setting, is sent to any server. The conversion works the same whether or not you are connected to the internet after the page has loaded.

Why this matters for cheque and financial amounts

Because many people use this tool to write out cheque amounts, invoice totals, or other figures tied to real money, it is worth being explicit about what "nothing is sent to a server" actually means in practice. The number you type never travels over the network in any form: not as part of a page request, not as an analytics event, not as a background sync. You can open your browser's network inspector while using the converter and confirm this for yourself; no request fires when you type or change a setting. This design choice was deliberate, since a tool people use for financial figures should not need to ask for trust on that point, it should be verifiable.

Local storage

Your last-used input, format, currency and letter-case selection are saved in your browser's local storage so the tool remembers your preferences the next time you visit on the same device. This data never leaves your browser, is not visible to us, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Analytics

This site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors across sites. It would not build an individual profile of you, and it would not share or sell data to advertisers; it would only help us understand whether the site is working correctly and which pages are useful, not identify or target individual visitors. As of the time you are reading this, analytics is not actively configured for this domain, so the corresponding script does not load at all, and no visit data is collected by us in any form.

Separately, this site sends a small number of anonymous, aggregated engagement signals (for example, whether the converter was used) with no cookies, no IP address stored alongside the signal, and no fingerprinting.

Feedback form

If you use the optional feedback form on this site, your message is submitted anonymously: no email address, IP address, or account information is stored alongside it.

Advertising

This site may display third-party advertising. Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve relevant ads. We do not control this data directly; consult the relevant ad network's own privacy policy for details on their practices.

Third-party services

This site relies on a small number of third-party services to run:

• Cloudflare: our hosting provider and content delivery network. Cloudflare processes standard web request data (such as your IP address) as part of serving the page, in line with its own role as a network and hosting operator.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics: a cookieless, privacy-focused analytics service (see the Analytics section above).
• Advertising networks (if enabled): may set their own cookies or similar identifiers to serve relevant ads, governed by their own privacy policies (see the Advertising section above).

Your choices

You are always in control of the limited data this site touches:

• Clear your browser's local storage for this domain at any time to remove your saved number, format, currency and letter-case preferences.
• Disable JavaScript, and the converter simply will not run; no data collection happens either way, since none was happening with JavaScript enabled.
• Use a browser extension or setting that blocks third-party advertising cookies if you prefer not to be served interest-based ads.

Children's privacy

This site is a general-purpose reference tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because the tool simply does not collect personal information at all: every conversion happens locally in your own browser.

Data retention

We do not operate a server-side database of user input, so there is no retention period to describe for the numbers you convert: nothing is ever stored on our servers in the first place. The only data that persists is the local-storage preference data described above, which stays on your own device until you clear it.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and our hosting provider is encrypted in transit. Because the conversion itself never leaves your browser, there is no server-side database of user-entered numbers that could be exposed in a data breach: the strongest protection for your data here is simply that we never receive it.

International use

This site is built for a global audience, with particular attention to the UAE market given the AED currency default. Regardless of which country you access it from, the same rule applies everywhere: your input is processed locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us, so no cross-border data transfer of your typed numbers ever takes place.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page. Since the site's core behavior (everything runs locally in your browser) is unlikely to change, we expect future updates to this page to be minor, such as clarifying language or adding a newly introduced third-party service.
